Criffel Station Woolshed

The Woolshed’s natural charm is the perfect backdrop for a memorable wedding or event.

Lovingly converted, our authentic Woolshed with its undeniable character provides a charming location. An authentic setting with the sophistication and style to ensure it’s a wonderful wedding or event. The history, charm and rustic feel of the original Woolshed has been retained, as materials from around the station have been recycled back into the space.

Bespoke packages are available and designed to ensure your day is magical for you and your family and friends or colleagues.

Included in your venue hire are tables and chairs for up to 170 people, outside entertainment areas and rustic fireplace (fire ban permitting), festoon lighting and the use of
our unique Rousey hut. Guests are welcome to stay at the Woolshed until 1 am.

Stone Hut Terraces Venue

Criffel Station’s newly developed site, amid our magnificent Deer Farm.

An exclusive area fenced from the working farm, that is fully set up on the terraces looking out to Mt Barker and across the Wanaka basin, for your choice of either tipi or marquee on site.

Access is via a groomed driveway using your choice of transport provider. Once on site you will be stunned by expansive views into the Lake Wanaka and Lake Hawea valley’s. With the feeling of being completely in your own secluded high country setting your guests will have a unique wedding experience.

The site is naturally landscaped and developed, in keeping with the surroundings – tended lawn areas facing out to the breath-taking views beyond, a gravelled fire pit area, with outdoor seating, and spaces crafted to create an ideal area for guests to mingle.

One of the unique features of the site is the ability to hold your wedding ceremony with a stunning back drop and then continue celebrating at the private and picturesque venue.

We provide toilet facilities for up to 100 guests, are responsible for liaising with your caterer and suppliers, all rubbish removal and post event clean-up of the site.

Included in the venue hire are access and site visits before your wedding, including a rehearsal time on site.

Included in the hire of our Stone Hut Terraces Venue is the use, for one night of the unique, country shearers cottage, situated at the bottom of the terraces. You will receive our special accommodation package including early entry on the day of the wedding, bathrobes and other fabulous extra’s just for the bridal couple.
